Can't Control the Negative Chatter? There Might Be A Deeper Reason Why.

Aug 04, 2021

Let's talk motivation and personal power.

It's fabulous when you have it and it is the pits when you don't.

Most often we associate motivation and personal power with mindset, but I was reminded this week, that having a positive mindset and feeling inspired is impossible if your thyroid isn't working.

In fact here is what life looks like for me when my thyroid is working and when it's not.

Why am I sharing this?

Because it has been a super rough weekend because my thyroid crashed.

Only this time instead of going into the depths of despair, I knew not to give any power to all negative thoughts that were swirling around in my head and just focus on what I needed to do to get back on track again.

However, I know that I am not the only one that this happens to.

In fact, there are a lot of people out there who are struggling and feeling worthless, powerless, and at the worst, even suicidal and the core issue isn't that they are lazy and a low-life.

It's quite possibly hormonal and has to do with their thyroid.

Trying to do life when your thyroid isn't working is like trying to drive your car without gas.

It just doesn't work!

Doing the very bare minimum things takes an enormous amount of effort.

And doing things that are hard and outside your comfort zone are virtually impossible!

So, if you or someone you love is struggling and you are wondering if it has anything to do with their thyroid you can ask their body through muscle testing.

I like to know the percentage, so I will ask, "What percentage is my thyroid functioning?" Then count up by 10's with the intention that it will hold strong on the percent.

(If your own thyroid is below 50% you may not be able to muscle test for yourself because you will be too disconnected.)

Some supplements that I have found helpful are:

  • Kelp (a form of seaweed that comes in a capsule.)
  • Spirulina (also a form of seaweed)
  • Nascent Iodine

Food also plays a massive role in how well your thyroid functions.

Sugar, gluten, and dairy are definitely things to cut out if you have thyroid issues.

I also found out the hard way this week that my body does not do well when I eat kiwi.

Normally, if I am trying new food I will muscle test and ask my body on a scale of 1 to 10 how good it is for me.

But when I was at Costco and I saw a tub of kiwi's that looked really good, it never occurred to me to ask my body first.

After all, they are supposed to be good for you, right?

Well, Friday when I was feeling like I have felt in the past and have since learned that I feel this way when my thyroid is crashing, I was trying to figure out what was causing it.

Kiwi was the only thing I had eaten that was out of the ordinary. I tested it tested at a 1. 😒

And I had been eating about 3 or 4 a day.

Lesson learned.

If you are why I felt inspired to share this information when I would normally have written something to do with love.

And energy work isn't helping to shift your mood and your energy.

Then I hope that you know that the real you is in there and the way you currently feel ISN'T THE REAL YOU!

So don't give any power to the negative voices in your head and search out and get help to see if your thyroid or another health issue is at the root of it.

When you get to the bottom of it you'll be amazed at how much better you feel and how much you will be able to accomplish when you are on the other side of it!🥰
